The concept of design in not new, however, the act of designing as we understand it in user experience—or design thinking—is not yet mainstream in the design for teaching and learning. Designing education and educating design is the right path to take for growth and learning.
As Part of my background on teaching I truly believe that UX will provide an important way to build on a solid foundation for innovation and at the same time it provides me the opportunity to continue with my own learning, and a way to create a mechanism through which personal and professional growth can successfully occur.
Design thinking (DT) delivers solution-based thinking. People that apply DT considers issues, resolve problems and utilize creative strategies. It is about using the designer’s sensibility and methods to match people’s needs with what is technologically feasible to convert the idea into customer value and market opportunity. Design thinking pursues innovation to gain organic growth. It identifies persons and creates a good customer journey by detecting the main pain points to solve the end user’s problem.
By teaching DT, the opportunity to see people create, bring exceptional ideas and work hard to make them real inspires me to work hard, pursuit how to improve my work and learning, to prepare myself more and to reach new challenges.
